 Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, that the Oxfordshire County Council

TEMPORARILY PROHIBITS THE USE OF THE HIGHWAY

BY ALL MOTOR VEHICLES

         

           LOCATION:         Witney, Whiteoak Green, Wood Lane

                    

          REASON:            To facilitate disconnection and a new water main connection for Chasewood Cottage

DURATION:         Starting on 24 November 2020

                                        The anticipated completion date is 27 November 2020.(date included). This is a 24 hour per day closure.

                                        (Traffic Regulation Notices cover a maximum of 5 consecutive days.)

         

          ACCESS:             Limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for frontages within the closed section of road, subject to the progress of the works

 

          SUGGESTED ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:via B4022 Witney Road-B4437

         Woodstock Road-unnamed road-A44 Manor Road-A44 Oxford Road-A4095

         Grove Road and vice versa

TEMPORARILY PROHIBITS THE USE OF AND WAITING ON THE HIGHWAY

BY ALL MOTOR VEHICLES

         

          LOCATION:         Hailey & Witney, Foxburrow Lane & Hailey Road (B4022)

 

          REASON:           Carriageway resurfacing works

 

DURATION:         Starting on 21 April 2020 (at 04:00hrs)

                             The anticipated completion date is 24 April 2020 (at 18:00hrs) (Each day from 04:00hrs to 24:00hrs))

                                      (Traffic Regulation Notices cover a maximum of 5   

                                     consecutive days)

                   ACCESS:             Limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for frontages within the closed section of road, subject to the progress of the works

 

The “No Waiting” restriction means that wherever there are in place yellow “No Waiting” cones, you will not be able to park vehicles on the highway.

 

SUGGESTED ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The alternative routes for traffic are via a combination of Foxburrow Lane – Witney Hill – Witney Road – Crawley Road – Hailey Road (B4022) and vice-versa.

          LOCATION:         Witney, Foxburrow Lane / Hailey Road

             REASON:            to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works

DURATION:         Starting on  06 March 2020

                                        The anticipated completion date is 09 March 2020 (date included). This closure will operate between 07:00am and 07:00pm (07:00 and 19:00) hours

                                        (Traffic Regulation Notices cover a maximum of 5 consecutive days.)

         

          ACCESS:    limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for frontages within the closed section of road, subject to the progress of the works

Road closure through Hailey this summer- POSTPONED

SGN HAVE JUST CONFIRMED THAT THIS WORK HAS BEEN POSTPONED:

Customer Care at SGN stated that:

‘the Works have been postponed until further notice. Once I have an update we will of course be in touch’.

SGN are planning to close the main road through Hailey from 16th July to 7th September 2018 to carry out essential gas works.

The work is being carried out by GPL. GPL asks you to contact them to discuss any concerns/issues such as disabled access, holidays and access to businesses.
